Lego Micro Build MOC - Lego Windmill

Hellego! Recently, I have been experimenting with micro build. Lego is making a video series on YouTube which is what got me interested in this type of build. I experimented alot and made my own MOC! A Lego micro windmill! I based my idea off a windmill in the booklet that came with the bricks and more set I got, but I modified it alot and added a bunch more detail so it's my own creation! Micro build is a very interesting type of build and there is nothing like it. You will understand why in the following pictures and the video.

Here it is!

Finally here is the Rotor Blade

Here is a video that shows you some more details and tricks I used to build it!

Custom Lego Minifigure - Uncharted 3 Drake

Hellego! I recently made a custom minifigure! It's Drake from the video game Uncharted 3. I already made him but never did an official post so here it is.

He is made with almost all parts of Lego Indiana Jones characters.

New Lego Chima event coming near you!

Hellego! I just received my Lego magazine and it said that at your local Toys R Us there is the Speedorz Boulder Bowling Tournament!

The event is on Saturday, February 23 from 11am to 2pm. IMPORTANT: You MUST sign up to compete! You can sign up at your local Toys R Us starting February 9.

What is the tournament you may ask? The goal is to collect the most chi points as possible. The winner will get a special Chima Speedorz Prize Pack! Here is something cool. Every person who signs up and participates will receive a Chima giveaway!

I am not sure if I will go because honestly, I am not a big fan of the Legend Of Chima theme. But maby if I go, I will learn more about it and maby like it after all! Also, if I sign up I will get a free Chima set, so it would help me get introduced to the theme. I will see when the time comes.

So will you be going? If I go, it is sure I am going to document it!

Lego Marvel video game coming in fall 2013!

Hellego! Here is some exciting news! I just discovered that Lego is going to release in fall of 2013 a Marvel video game!

Here is the most important part, which consoles it will be on. It is going to be on the Playstation 3, the Playstation Vita, Xbox 360, the Wii U, the PC and the Nintendo DS as well as the 3DS.

It will also so feature over 100 characters! Here are some of the main super heroes: Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor and many more!

I am very excited for this game because about a year ago when the Marvel sets had just come out I was hoping they would do a Lego Marvel video game. I am very happy!

Lego Ghost and Grandfather Clock Polybag back out!

Hellego! Check out what I spotted at Toys R Us today!

Yes! It is the ghost and grandfather clock polybag! I suspect that when it was out for only about a week in October, Toys R Us still had some in stock so they are taking them out again. This is probably your last chance to get it at a good price because on ebay it has a value of 20$. I recommend you go and try to get one. Remember, the only other way of getting the ghost is by getting the ghost train which is 100$. So go and get yourself a small after-Christmas gift! ;)

Flickr for MOCs

Hellego! I have recently discovered the joy of Flickr for MOCs. It is a great tool to post the pictures of your creations. Many popular AFOLs who go to Lego conventions, like Brickfair, have a Flickr account to post their models.

There are many big Lego builders with amazing models but here are some of my favourites. Here is one, he is a good friend of one of my friends and his user name is sok117. He made a huge helicarrier from the Avengers! Sok also really likes posting scenes from the Batman movies that he recreates in Lego.

Another great Flickr user is Fianat. He makes a lot of awesome villages and you will see that they are really detailed. He also recreates different movie scenes and does a bunch of other creations like animals, buildings, custom minifigures and much more.

Another good one is Si-Mocs. As you can tell by the name, he does everything related to science-fiction, from spaceships to weird creatures! He is really good.

The last one that I really like, and you have probably already heard of him, is Legoboy's flickr or Solidbrixstudios. He posts lots of amazing custom minifigures.

Do not forget to check out all these users after reading this post.

Now you are probably wondering: Why is he showing me all these users? Well the answer is simple. It's to introduce you to Flickr. You see, when I first discovered it, it was because of a series Lego did on Youtube. I made a playlist of it on my Youtube channel so you can go and check it out. It is a series of four videos with interviews of AFOLs to know what it's like to be one. In the second or third video, one of them said that Flickr is great for showing off your creations, so I checked it out. When I went on the website, I didn't know where to start. That is why I'm helping you by showing you some users. Flickr is great because you can share pictures. It's a great way to show off your models and the way the website is layed out is really good because you can see different pictures of the same model at once.

I really liked Flickr and I used it to follow people I enjoyed. On the first of January, I got an email from Flickr saying that as a Christmas present, they were giving a full account for three months of a value of 6,95$. On Flickr there is a free account which is limited for some things and there is a pro account where it is unlimited. So I am going to use this gift and try it out by posting my pictures from the blog and my MOCs. Of course, if I make a new MOC, I will post it on my blog and on Flickr.

So go check out my new account! Please follow it! I really hope I helped you discover a new way of seeing amazing Lego creations. Enjoy!
